3D printing

Generality

Additive fabrication is an innovant fabrication process allows making quickly customized and personalized products.

There is a wide variety of additive manufacturing processes.

Fused deposition modeling process – FDM

FDM is a widely used manufacturing process in the world of additive manufacturing. It consists in extruding a molten material by a nozzle which moves in two dimensions above a platform to form a layer of material. Once the layer is finished the platform moves on a third dimension so that the nozzle can deposit a new layer of material.

We use customized Ultimaker 2 3D printers for FDM manufacturing process.

Specifications :
Building volume : 225x230x205mm.
Zaxis resolution : from 100µm to 500µm.
Nozzle diameter : 0,25 ; 0,3 ; 0,35 ; 0,4 ; 0,6 and 0,8mm.
Plastic 3D Printer materials : ABS ; PLA ; PET ; Flexible ; Wood resin.

Photosensible resin process – DLP

Digital light processing (DLP) is a similar process to stereolithography.
A videoprojector is used to cure a surface of photopolymer resin.

The ability to use calcinable’s resin offers the perfect choice for dental or jewelry applications.

We use our own DLP 3D printer

Our 3D printer has been designed and developed for high accuracy applications with a precision under 0,05mm [.002 inch] on xy axis and a z axis resolution starting at 40µm [.001 inch].
